On behalf of Water’s Edge Farm and Martin Farms, welcome to the Online Opportunity Sale! This offering has been hand-picked from two breeding programs equally committed to the beef cattle industry and to an open and honest dialog with our valued customers. Our main objective as seed stock producers is to qualify the genetics we have available and to utilize the tools and information at our disposal in order to create the next generation of cattle to carry either the WEF or MF prefix. The females in the offering represent some of the top cow families and most productive bloodlines in our breeding programs. The open heifers have been selected from a large group and represent our top end of fall prospects. Every heifer calf is eligible for the AJSA Eastern Regional Classic this summer in Cookeville as well as the 2016 Tennessee Simmental Futurity, and we’ll work with any buyer to make sure all ownership and transfer deadlines are met in a timely manner. This group of bred heifers from Water’s Edge includes two own daughters of the beloved MF Vanilla Bean. Lots 7 and 8 are flush mate sisters to the recent $10,000 New Day co-high-selling bull, WEF Cool Beans, and we’re offering the largest group of Tux & Tails daughters to sell yet. We’re not holding anything back, and every heifer is safe in calf to an exciting AI sire. All the bred heifers are tested BVD-PI negative with a complete herd health program backing them up, making them eligible for TAEP cost share. The mature cow offering is a select group of females in the prime of production, including the Moser-bred 9728W from Martin Farms, the dam of Abbey Ivey’s 2015 Futurity Champion Percentage Heifer. We also have a few cow/calf pairs with Tux & Tails calves at side ready to start making money right away. A solid group of homozygous black breeding age bulls rounds out the sale, and every bull is TAEP approved and guaranteed sound in every way. None of these cattle have been pampered or pushed in any way. Every animal is in good working condition for their stage of production, and they’re poised to perform under any management scheme that gives them an opportunity to do so. Rest assured the homework has been done and we are confident these genetics will work in the real world of beef production. Just as we’ve always done with our fall production sale, we’ve published the starting bids, and any bid you see is real money. There will be no floors or reserve bids above the starting bid price on any lot, so bid with confidence knowing these cattle are on this auction to sell! These are honest, sound, productive cattle in every category, and we stand behind them 100 percent. There are more cattle available by private treaty, and we’re always available to show you cattle, answer your questions about our breeding programs, or visit about how WEF or MF genetics can complement your goals and objectives. Don’t hesitate to give us a call, and thank you for your interest! |
