Thank you for stopping by to check out the offering from Bramlet Simmentals! The Bramlet family has been in the cattle business for over five generations. Bramlet Simmentals was founded by John and Shirley Bramlet in 1978 with the purchase of a Simmental bull. Bramlet Simmentals is located in Southern Illinois and is adjacent to thousands of acres of the Shawnee National Forest. The farm has always been family owned and operated and truly is a joint effort. We started showing in 1979 and since every Bramlet has taken part in the show ring. Our showing mainly consisted of the county fair circuit until the early 2000’s. Showing cattle was mainly a hobby and was the grandkids’ summer jobs. In 2005, Bo graduated high school and decided to run the farm as his career. Since then it has become a business rather than just a hobby. Bo and Shea exhibited at their first Eastern Regional and National Classic in 2005. They were both active in the junior program and had a lot of help along the way. Our goal now is to produce functional cattle that will succeed in the show ring, but more importantly succeed in the pasture. We are very thankful for the help we received along the way and it is now our turn to pay it forward to the juniors who purchase our cattle. We have been blessed to have made relationships that will last a lifetime and look forward to forming new ones. |
